Temperature is a pixel property. By default it is expressed in the Celsius scale, but the Settings allow changing to the Fahrenheit scale and the Kelvin scale. Most elements spawn at 20°C, though some elements, like Ice and Fire, have a different default temperature.
If a pixel's temperature gets too low or too high, it may turn into another element, like Ice melting into Water above 5°C.
Temperature can be transferred over contact with hotter or colder pixels. The tools Heat and Cool can also manipulate a pixel's temperature.
