Smash is a tool that smashes pixels in the cursor's range, turning them into other elements with no other side effects. What the element turns into after being smashed is different for every element. Not every element can be smashed, staying intact when smashed.

As an example, when Rock is smashed it turns into Sand and Gravel, but nothing happens when Dirt is smashed.
